vs poweramp
kleos music and poweramp.
poweramp is the veteran: a deep audio engine, a parametric equalizer, skins. kleos music is the opposite bet — smaller, quieter, free, built around a wheel and your own files.

what poweramp does better.
if you want a parametric equalizer, hi-res output and usb dac control, android auto, chromecast, or skins to reshape the interface, poweramp has all of it and kleos music has none of it. it is a serious audio tool, and its one-time purchase reflects that.
what kleos music does instead.
the other bet: a small app with no account, no ads and no equalizer, built around one wheel. your files are read as they are, lyrics are fetched once and kept on the phone for offline listening, and the whole app is under 10 mb.
the honest price question.
poweramp is free to try for 15 days and then a one-time purchase — a fair deal for the engine you get. kleos music is free with no trial window, no unlocker and no premium tier. the right answer depends on whether you came for the sound tools or for your own files.

questions.
for some people, and not for others. if you use poweramp's equalizer, hi-res output or skins, nothing here replaces them. if you want a small player for the files on your phone, with lyrics that work offline and no ads, kleos music does that on its own.
